Somewhere along the line I developed a passion for perfection which means that I treat every assignment as a little piece of art. I want to capture the day on film in a way that is right for the bride and groom and their families. It matters to me that each photograph is carefully composed, and that the images reflect what the day was actually about.

In order to achieve that, I take time to listen to the bride and groom before the wedding, to hear their vision for the day and to discuss the possibilities. We often meet several times, which means that, by the time the wedding takes place we know each other well. That relationship is a vital element in the process – it means that my professional photography skills can be properly used to interpret the atmosphere of the day and the personalities of the main players.

Weddings are exciting moments - glamorous, fun, lively, dynamic – usually the result of months of meticulous planning. They last for a few precious hours. The photographs, however, can last a lifetime. My desire is always to capture the essence of the day, bringing a timeless elegance to the event that means that years later the photographs still communicate the event.

Along with a number of highly qualified and accredited professional photographers I am committed to the art of photography. I prefer to use film rather than digital photography as, time and again, this classic medium has been shown to produce superior results, with a stunning clarity that is appropriate for wedding photography.
